The application server and the database are located in the European Union. The photos and documents you upload are stored with a separate provider, outside the European Union: see § 6 of the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The elements belonging to the service (texts, layout, source code, the name “TrotterMap”) are the property of the publisher. The photos, documents and notes you upload remain yours: the publisher claims no exploitation right over them and uses them only to give them back to you in your map — and, for the memories you have chosen to make public, to display them on your public map, within the limits of § 3 of the terms and conditions.
Public maps host content uploaded by their authors. To report one of them: Report content.
Map data comes from Natural Earth (public domain), GeoNames (CC BY 4.0) and the OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). These attributions are also shown on the map itself.
